Blue Harvest

Had to prune back the butterfly pea. Left unchecked, it will take over everything.

Plucked the flowers from the gate area before pruning.

Out of curiosity I weighed it... that was about 20g. Added boiling water and let it sit for a while.

Used the blue water to make rice. Our brown rice ended up like this...

The blue colour is a lot more prominent if you use white rice. I was about to chuck the used flowers into the compost...
...but decided to use it in some fried rice I was making. Sorry no pic of the end product coz I was too hungry to grab the camera.
