Makan time for the Puyu

Feeding my Climbing Perch (Ikan Puyu)

Currently I feed them...
1. green peas - this is the most tedious of the foods. First I boil them, then remove the outer skin. Finally mash it and feed the fish.
2. worms - I buy frozen blood worms which are packed in ice cube sizes. 2 cubes are defrosted and fed to the fish. Occasionally I feed them earthworms from our garden, cut up a few into little pieces.
3. pellets - I bought pellets for fighting fish (the type that floats) and guppies (smaller and it sinks). I feed either one in the hope that it gives them some vitamins.
4. zero food - once a week I dont feed any of my fish. Hopefully that encourages  them to search for leftovers or hunt for live food (smaller fish, snails, plants).

Their feeding schedule...
MON pellets, TUE peas, WED peas THU worms FRI peas SAT starve SUN peas
